Angel Console Table (brick Version)

I was gazing at our Christmas tree, looking at the paper seraph at its crown. Thoughts led me to the sketchbook and, shortly afterwards, the Angel table was born. A circular, layered, ‘brick’ base rises up to the wide and generous unfurled ‘wings’ of the table top. Alternatively, we use the stook method of angled staves running vertically. Both look the part.

The Angel table is a fair stretch from end to end, looks fabulous in a hallway and truly lives up to its name.

This piece uses the wall as a structural component in much the same way as a painting.
