Delivery & Returns
Larger pieces
All furniture commissions are made individually by hand at Lime Tree Studio & Workshops in Hindon, Wiltshire. Each piece is made for you, from timber selected to suit the commission. Lead times for furniture generally run 12–14 weeks from deposit, though more complex pieces may take longer. You will be given an estimated completion date when you order, and kept informed throughout.
Gifts & Smalls
Most pieces from the Gifts & Smalls range are held in stock and available for immediate dispatch. Where a piece needs to be made, lead times are typically 4–8 weeks. We will confirm availability and timing when you get in touch.
Delivery
Delivery within mainland UK is free of charge on all orders.
Smaller pieces are sent by insured courier. Larger furniture is delivered by a specialist two-person service, which includes positioning the piece in situ and removing all packaging. We will contact you to arrange a delivery date that suits you.
For delivery to Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, or internationally, please contact the studio for a quote before placing your order.
Returns
Because each piece is made to order to your specification, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds except in the case of a fault or damage in transit.
If your piece arrives damaged, please photograph it before unpacking further and contact us within 48 hours at showroom@matthewburt.com. We will arrange collection and repair or replacement at no cost to you.
For shop pieces (Gifts & Smalls) that are faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or full refund under UK consumer law. Please contact us within 30 days of receipt.
