Beam Bench

Our Workshop makes the Beam bench for guest designer Katie Walker, who explains: Originally conceived for gallery seating, Beam bench is now sized for a domestic setting, sitting equally comfortably in a hallway or at the foot of a bed. Its structure, with a nod to traditional Japanese jointing, relies on the central beam to connect the legs, giving it a lighter, more playful feel. The bench is available in ash or walnut with a natural wax/oil finish, stainless steel fittings and rescued leather cover in black or caramel by Elvis & Kresse. Other fabrics/leather covers can also be specified, subject to a variation in price. The leather cover is held in place by removable stainless steel tubes making it easy to change, swapping colourways with the seasons. It also allows for the swapping of any individual square. This piece has been awarded a Bespoke Guild Mark by the Furniture Makers’ Company.
