Forge On The Green: A Community Café
We kitted out this wonderful place at Shamley Green, near Guildford. Fantastic coffee, fresh and delicious food and comfortable chairs to sit on. What more could one want?
The story
The Forge Café nestles in the Surrey Hills at Shamley Green. The idea to convert the building was conceived by existing clients of ours as a social enterprise project and we were asked to design and make the furniture, shelving and a ‘meet & greet’ counter, using oak from both Surrey and Hampshire and ash from Wiltshire.
It was great to be part of the team, including interior designer Anna Wilson, delivering this wonderful commission.
It is a delightful space that serves its community and customers very well indeed. We wish the venture every success.
